About "Stair Blocks" :
Solid stair blocks are less expensive to install and provide the ultimate stone material solution for steps and staircases. Less prone to chip or become dislodged, their mass is the perfect design statement. When hand textures are added, the natural non-slip surface is perfectly mated to its functionality.
Stair blocks are available in both newly crafted and antique granite. Sold by the lineal foot of stair face, stair blocks have two finished faces known as the riser and the tread face. For separate tread riser solutions (when two pieces are required), the pieces are treated as simple templated objects.
Only newly quarried stair blocks (not antique stair blocks) are available in radius segments. Also, due to their scarcity, antique stair blocks are not sorted by color . Standard antique stair tread lengths may be from 30-84 in length. Additionally, antique stair blocks may be gauged down to 1.5 as well as quoined (back cut into an L shape) to accommodate difficult installations or metal supports.
